Firmly focused on the international scene, ISEL has made international openness a priority. As such, 100% of students complete an international mobility during their engineering program.

With a network of around twenty partners in over 19 countries across 3 continents, ISEL promotes and develops global awareness and the internationalization of its students and teacher-researchers through various means :

  • Professional and language internships

  • Company visits

  • School trips

  • International academic projects

  • Intercultural conferences

  • Courses taught by guest professors

Teaching and administrative staff also benefit from international mobility programs under ISEL’s agreements, invitations from partner laboratories, and networks in which the school participates (BRAFITEC, GU8 consortium, Erasmus+).

LINGUISTIC AND INTERCULTURAL
SKILLS

ISEL prepares its students to be engineers open to the world and ready to work in global and interconnected organizations by including two foreign languages in its program, along with intercultural management courses. Students, equipped with intercultural and linguistic skills, enhance their employability, ease, and confidence.

SUPPORT AND CONTINUITY OF
EDUCATIONAL PATHWAYS

All ISEL students benefit from administrative and financial support during their mobility through the Erasmus+ program, numerous agreements, and services from the University of Le Havre Normandie (such as the “Umob” fund, the “Pass Monde” program from the Normandy Region, Erasmus+ mobility aid, Arfitec fund).

In a spirit of continuity and validation of their semester abroad, the academic pathways offered at our partner universities align with ISEL’s educational project.

SEMESTER AND INTERNSHIP ABROAD

In their 4th year, all of our students spend a semester abroad in one of the following ways :

  • Studying at a partner institution
  • Research initiation with one of our partners
  • Activities offered in the institute’s international portfolio for work-study students

In 20 years, 757 engineering students have had an international experience !

INCOMING MOBILITY

Each year, the school hosts foreign teacher-researchers and students (both French-speaking and non-French-speaking) as part of scientific, academic, and Campus France cooperation. The welcoming is carried out via :

  • The “Études en France” platform for preparatory and engineering cycles

  • Partnership agreements with associated laboratories for Master’s and Doctoral levels
  • Research collaborations for faculty researchers
